I’m not sure when this idea originated. I remember an artist from a former gallery who painted on big unstretched canvas. When I came across a whole roll of floor cloth at at art supply store, (and I got a big discount for purchasing the entire roll.) I thought BIG DRESSES, how cool! I had the roll cut very cleanly into 6 equal vertical pieces, each 3 ft. x 6 ft. at a company that did banners. They ran a line of stitching 2 inches from the edge and put big silver grommets in the four corners. Floor cloth is single primed on the “back” and double primed on the “front” It rolls up very cleanly and unrolls, hangs like a dream and never needs a frame! These pieces can roll and unroll easily and ship in a TUBE. And can hang from a decorative nail or hook. I like it!
Here’s one of my little studies done with the idea that it could go on one of these big banners. I love the little studies.
This one is 6 x 12 inches and in a black frame. Let me know if you’d like to see a photo of it in the frame.
